Meet Gary M. Sheppard
Curiosity. Confidence. Kindness.
That combination has opened doors most people never knew existed—sometimes literally. I’ve square-danced in Baghdad, played backgammon with strangers in Mosul, shared wine with TV crews in a McDonald’s, walked uninvited into the 9/11 Memorial Ceremony at the Pentagon seated just rows away from a former President and found myself backstage in moments that most people only read about.
But I didn’t get there through fame or money. I got there by showing up, asking questions, and saying yes.
My name is Gary M. Sheppard. I’ve worked pulp mills and boardrooms. I’ve sold luxury homes, started Nasdaq-listed companies from scratch, walked through deserts, had dinner with World leaders, been backstage with music legends, and met remarkable people with extraordinary stories.
Through it all, I’ve kept a simple philosophy:
Life rewards the curious.
This site—and my upcoming book The Curiosity Effect—isn’t just a collection of wild stories. It’s a blueprint.
A reminder that the best moments in life are often one bold question, one unexpected encounter, or one open or closed door away.
I invite you to ride shotgun with me as we go on one wild, unforgettable adventure together!
Grab a seat.
You’re in the front row now.
